Zoo tiem!

Last week me and my whole classmates went to the zoo...It was awesome. We rode on the school bus, it felt like elementary school field trip all over again! But geez, animals are so hard to draw... they move around a lot. I had a blast though, I always love zoo trip and this one is by far the best because the weather was really nice and we went in the morning when all the animals just got fed so most of them are out of their cave.

Look at that Hamadryas Baboon. He looks so grumpy. The capuchins are really cute, but somehow also really vicious (?) How is that possible, I don't even.

I love 'em big butts, ye olde bear.

Dog study, and some life drawing

We currently did a dog study in life drawing class. Here is my rendering of the skeleton and muscles:

I'm not sure what this dog is (probably a chihuahua? It was a small skeleton) but i made the face looks like a completely different dog. Oh well.

During this summer I didn't do much, so I went to a life drawing class in a community centre almost every week. It was pretty good, but it has more long poses that anything so I didn't get much gestures.

I was trying to use different mediums instead of always using pencil and conte, so I grabbed some ink and coloured markers. It was a good experience, I like how it turned out.
